Aquent is recruiting for an experienced Strategic Brand Lead to join a service based company that connects some of Europe’s major cities. The role involves leading strategic branding initiatives, delivering insights-based recommendations, and influencing stakeholders who may not have a branding background. The ideal candidate will manage these projects and work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure alignment with overall strategic objectives.

The Ideal Candidate: Comes from a Branding & Marketing Strategy background who has focused primarily on services and not products. Comfortable with travel and has worked with an international company ideally. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build trust and gain buy-in from stakeholders while managing complex brand strategy discussions. (The brand has recently undergone a rebrand, so the focus moving forward will be on brand guardianship and ensuring that all communications, including assets like video, illustrations, copy, and messaging, are aligned with the new brand identity. While asset production is part of the role, the priority is more on overall brand strategy).

Key Responsibilities & Experience:

  • Someone with stronger strategic experience rather than a focus on asset production. A top-down understanding of brand strategy and practical experience working with agencies and cross-functional teams
  • Experience ideally working on the client side due to the need to navigate internal politics
  • Can handle the strategic elements of the role, rather than someone focused on client management or account director roles
  • Strong experience in service-led brand strategy, , as opposed to product-focused brands.

Nice to Have’s:

  • However, agency experience is also considered, especially if they have worked with high-profile clients in brand consultancy or strategic brand roles
  • Experience in ideally travel or service or hospitality industries
  • Fluency in French is not essential but would be a plus
