Responsibilities:

Our client is looking for 2 individuals (one compliance / audit focused and one governance / legal focused) to support the Compliance Operations team by:

  • Managing Compliance Issues: Support the team in effectively managing compliance issues, including tracking, investigation, resolution, and reporting.
  • Maintaining Compliance Documentation: Ensure that compliance documentation is up-to-date. This includes policies, procedures, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Driving Operational Excellence: Actively contribute to enhancing and streamlining existing operational processes, including identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains.
  • Developing New Processes: Collaborate with the team to map and implement new processes to address emerging compliance needs, organizational changes, and challenges.
  • Key Projects or Initiatives: DMA/DSA Compliance: Provide operational support to the DMA/DSA Independent Compliance Functions, assisting with the implementation and ongoing management of ICF compliance requirements.
  • Operationalizing Roles and Responsibilities: Work with Content, Competition, Consumer Protection, and AI teams to operationalize compliance responsibilities.

Top 3 Hard Skills:

  • 2-6 years of experience, ​type of industry: Big Tech – Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, or other major tech companies are preferred. 
  • Risk and Controls Fundamentals: Solid understanding of risk and control principles and auditing methodologies.
  • Operational Compliance Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing operational compliance processes, (e.g. issue management, stakeholder engagement, and communication, etc).
  • Google Workspace Familiarity: Advanced skills in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) with the ability to comfortably level set and architect presentations and communications for leadership.

Top 3 Soft Skills:

  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain compliance concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders across different parts of Alphabet (e.g., Global Affairs, PAs, IA, Legal, etc.).
  • Solution-Oriented Mindset: Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify root causes, and develop and implement effective solutions.
