Our client, a multinational technology company, is seeking a fluent French-speaking Employee Relations Partner to join their team for a period of 6 months. You will have previous experience in an Employee Relations or HR generalist role as well as experience supporting investigation processes. You will also act as a liaison or intermediary between employees and managers, focusing on conflict resolution and either creating or advising on the creation of policies around employee issues like fair compensation, useful benefits, proper work-life balance, reasonable working hours, and other employment matters.

 

The role

 

This is a London based hybrid role with 3 days per week onsite. You can expect to receive an hourly rate of £43.27 PAYE. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Leverage metrics to identify employee relations trends and diagnose organisational effectiveness.
  • Execute projects to generate impact and solve scaled operations problems, partner with relevant teams on project scoping, execution, and management.
  • Apply employee relations expertise and employment law knowledge to successfully identify issues, risks, trends, gaps, and challenges, execute solution-focused strategies and processes to mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate, correct, and enhance job performance and other workplace behaviours, assuring overall fairness and consistency to maintain a positive workplace environment.
  • Provide guidance on policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulations, and consistent application of practices.
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching and development feedback to managers around how to handle employee relations issues.
  • Work in conjunction with partner groups, including employment, legal, other investigations teams (e.g., E&C, RIT, GI), Employee Engagement, People Consultants and People Partners, countries or regions, and other groups in the broader organisation to ensure a positive and effective employee experience.

 

About you

You will have/be able to: 

  • Speak French fluently, with an understanding of French laws and regulatory requirements
  • Interact confidently with senior leaders of the organisation in order to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project, program or solution. 
  • Understand stakeholder needs through dialogue before conducting analysis and making recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a range of teammates, clients, and stakeholders. 
  • Effectively communicate across audiences, situations, and contexts in both a written and oral format to effectively communicate compensation plans, policies, and practices. 
  • Act as a liaison or intermediary between employees and managers, focusing on conflict resolution and either creating or advising on the creation of policies around employee issues like fair compensation, useful benefits, proper work-life balance, reasonable working hours, and other employment matters.
  • Understand and deal with business situations in a manner that will lead to a good outcome, able to balance people and business needs appropriately.
  • Knowledge in organisational effectiveness, including workforce planning and organisational design.
  • Anticipate, assess, and manage risk (e.g., operational, product, team health) by identifying or developing strategies to mitigate the risk or the negative effect of the risk.
  • Stay abreast of legal issues, regulations, and compliance relating to employment and employees with thorough understanding of performance management, employee relations and data analytics/reporting.
  • Knowledge of dispute resolution processes other than traditional methods of formal adjudication, which can be used to informally prevent, manage, and resolve conflict.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, as well as using analytical skills to identify trends and recommend solutions that increase employee engagement and mitigate risk.
