The primary role of the Data Engineer is to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data architectures and solutions that support the organisation’s strategic objectives. This position is responsible for implementing policies and practices that govern, protect, and enhance the value of data assets across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, install, test, and maintain robust and scalable data management systems.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and comply with industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and automate large-scale enterprise data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Create high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data modellers, and IT team members to align with project goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certifications (desirable): Six Sigma, CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, or CMMI.
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and general PC applications.
