**About the Role**

Are you a visionary designer ready to tackle the most complex challenges? We are seeking a Service Designer to profoundly influence the design of intangible products, systems, algorithms, and data rules within a critical digital growth and marketing initiative. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating abstract concepts into clear, actionable designs that drive strategic outcomes and significantly impact both our business and global users. This is an unparalleled opportunity to leverage your expertise to visualize intricate processes, foster collaborative environments, and lead the charge in shaping innovative solutions where traditional user interfaces are minimal or non-existent. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing foundational digital capabilities, enabling more personalized and impactful experiences for customers globally.

This is a 5-months fixed term salaried position contracted via Aquent on behalf of our client as a third party. The role offers up to €69K / annum, prorata – 40 hrs/week. There is the possibility for extension. 

Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with unrestricted rights to work in The Netherlands will be considered. 

**Key Responsibilities**

* Shape the design of complex, intangible products, focusing on underlying systems, algorithms, and data rules.
* Visualize and communicate intricate processes, data flows, and system relationships to diverse stakeholders.
* Facilitate collaborative working sessions and discussions, guiding teams through complex problem-solving and decision-making processes.
* Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative information, identifying meaningful patterns and presenting clear insights through frameworks and visualizations.
* Break down large initiatives into manageable tasks, identifying project requirements and creating comprehensive plans for deliverables and milestones.
* Drive strategic outcomes by making informed trade-offs and prioritizing tasks to achieve business goals.
* Foster a collaborative approach to generating feasible and efficient solutions for complex business and technical problems.

**Required Qualifications**

* Proven experience (min. 7 years) as a Service Designer or similar role.
* Exceptional ability to visualize and communicate complex systems, algorithms, and data flows that lack a traditional user interface.
* Demonstrated experience designing for products primarily based on systems, algorithms, and data rules, where the user interface is minimal or non-existent.
* A strong understanding of organizational strategy and the ability to adapt to complex organizational structures to drive design initiatives.
* A portfolio demonstrating your expertise in designing for complex, intangible products and systems is required for submission.

* **Facilitation:** Expertly facilitate working sessions and discussions, guiding, mentoring, and leading participants through learning processes, planning, and decision-making, particularly when dealing with abstract concepts.
* **Project Management:** Identify project requirements, break down large initiatives into manageable tasks, and create comprehensive plans for deliverables and milestones.
* **Systems Thinking:** Identify, analyze, and evaluate relationships among system parts, building a holistic view of complex systems using appropriate tools and frameworks.
* **Business Thinking:** Possess the capacity to understand the business context of a global retail leader, how design relates to broader organizational goals, and effectively connect with business stakeholders.
