About the Role
Step into a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, technical execution, data governance, and cross-functional program management. You will be the single operational point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of internal customers, independently managing campaigns from conception to completion. This role demands a specialist with high autonomy, directly influencing the company’s demand generation and pipeline targets. Your work will directly gate the marketing calendar, meaning your precision and efficiency will have a direct, visible impact on marketing success and customer engagement. You will orchestrate complex customer journeys, ensure audience precision, and maintain database integrity, all while navigating a high-volume operational pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end campaign delivery, from intake and briefing through build, quality assurance, deployment, and post-send reporting, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies.
- Design and automate multi-step customer journeys, including one-off sends, nurture tracks, and triggered messages across various digital channels.
- Develop and validate sophisticated audience segmentation logic and smart lists to ensure precise targeting, preventing overlap, over-mailing, or suppression errors.
- Apply contact-health and consent rules to protect deliverability and compliance, ensuring database governance and marketability on every send.
- Support and execute a high volume of marketing campaigns quarterly across various channels, managing concurrent builds through intake, QA, activation, and reporting.
- Configure smart lists and segmentation logic within marketing automation platforms, manage picklist governance, and build single and multi-touch programs and campaigns.
- Perform template and asset quality assurance, and troubleshoot deliverability, tracking, and rendering issues across a high-volume send calendar.
- Build and orchestrate journeys across multi-step, multi-channel paths using journey orchestration platforms.
- Activate audiences and manage destinations across downstream systems, utilizing a real-time customer data platform as the system of record for unified audiences and consistent identity resolution.
- Create and automate campaigns within CRM systems, manage campaign hierarchy and membership tracking (status, sync rules, attribution), and ensure clean, real-time integration between marketing automation platforms and CRM.
- Validate campaign ID formats/naming conventions and troubleshoot sync failures between systems.
- Process leads, analyze campaign performance and versioning, and report on net-new contacts.
- Brief and quality-control execution agencies, ensuring delivery to scope and deadline.
- Manage multiple live campaign cycles in parallel, including flagship event programs, each with fixed, externally-committed deadlines.
- Make independent trade-off decisions across competing requests to protect business-critical deadlines.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in a digital marketing / marketing operations function with a holistic understanding of email and media channels.
- Marketo Certification
- Real-time customer data platforms, including hands-on experience.
- Excellent communication and program management skills, with the ability to present findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and management.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities across departments and with external agencies.
- Proven ability to run multiple projects to completion, on time and in scope, with minimal supervision.
- Curiosity for marketing technology and a demonstrated ability to learn complex platforms quickly.
- Good understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, basic CSS) and strong proficiency in Excel.
- Comfort with relational data structures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in a second language for a regional-facing portfolio.
