Join the EMEA team of our client, a global leader at software development and digital innovations, empowering businesses to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
As a pivotal member of their team, you will be the driving force behind the success of critical marketing campaigns, directly influencing demand generation and pipeline growth across a vital region. Your expertise will not only optimize processes but also ensure the seamless delivery of engaging customer journeys, making a tangible difference to business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
In this high-autonomy role, you will be the single operational point of contact for a defined portfolio of internal customers, independently managing campaigns that directly feed the region’s demand-generation and pipeline targets. Your work will directly impact the marketing calendar, ensuring seamless execution and measurable results. This specialist position sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, technical execution, data governance, and cross-functional program management, offering a unique opportunity to drive significant business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end campaign management: from intake and briefing through build, QA, deployment, and post-send reporting, in coordination with internal teams and the execution agency.
- Cross-channel journey orchestration: designing and automating multi-step customer journeys — one-off sends, nurture tracks, and triggered messages — across email and connected channels.
- Advanced audience segmentation: building and validating sophisticated list logic and smart lists to ensure the region targets tightly defined audiences without overlap, over-mailing, or suppression errors.
- Marketability & database governance: applying the region’s contact-health and consent rules (acquisition, coverage, engagement, attrition) to protect deliverability and compliance on every send.
Platform & Technical Execution
- Support and execute approximately 60 marketing campaigns per quarter across the region and channels (email, nurture, webinar, and events), managing concurrent campaign builds through intake, QA, activation, and reporting — requiring reliable, repeatable processes across a high-throughput operational pipeline.
- Utilize the Marketo automation platform: Smart-list configuration and segmentation logic, managed picklist governance, program and campaign build (single and multi-touch), template and asset QA, and troubleshooting deliverability, tracking, and rendering issues across a high-volume send calendar. Includes token/personalization management and program folder structure standards to keep builds consistent at scale.
- Leverage a sophisticated journey orchestration platform and a Real-Time Customer Data Platform: Journey build and orchestration across multi-step, multi-channel paths; audience activation and destination management across downstream systems; using the Real-Time Customer Data Platform as the system of record for unified audiences, ensuring consistent identity resolution and segment logic feed both the journey orchestration platform and the primary marketing automation platform/CRM execution.
- Work with a leading CRM platform: Campaign creation and automation, campaign hierarchy and membership tracking (status, sync rules, attribution), and maintaining clean, real-time integration between marketing automation platforms and CRM — including validating campaign ID formats/naming conventions and troubleshooting sync failures between systems.
- Manage a work management platform: Intake and request management via internal request forms, work order routing, and custom form/field configuration driving the operational campaign pipeline — including task-level governance workflows (e.g., approval/rejection routing, validation checkpoints) that connect intake through to build and launch.
- Understand cross-system integration & data flow: Working knowledge of how these platforms interoperate — e.g., request data flowing from intake tools into automation platforms, validation rules enforcing data quality (character limits, ID formats, required fields) before campaigns move downstream. Comfortable troubleshooting where a breakdown in one system (a failed sync, a missing token, a mismatched field) affects the whole program and its effectiveness.
- Data & reporting: Lead processing, campaign performance and versioning analysis, net-new contact reporting; strong Excel; comfort with relational data structures; basic HTML/CSS for email.
Stakeholder Alignment & Program Management
- Act as a single point of contact: owning queries, strategy, performance, and day-to-day reporting for a dedicated set of internal customers across field and demand marketing.
- Agency coordination: briefing and quality-controlling the execution agency and holding delivery to scope and deadline.
- Manage concurrent programme load: running multiple live campaign cycles in parallel — including flagship event programs — each with fixed, externally-committed deadlines.
- Prioritize under pressure: making independent trade-off decisions across competing requests to protect the most business-critical deadlines.
What It Takes to Succeed
- Excellent communication and program management skills; able to present findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and management.
- Strong relationship building across departments and with external agencies.
- Proven ability to run multiple projects to completion, on time and in scope, with minimal supervision.
- Strong logical thinking, creative problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Curiosity for marketing technology and a demonstrated ability to learn complex platforms quickly.
- Good understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, basic CSS) and a strong Excel practitioner.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in a digital marketing / marketing operations function with a holistic understanding of email and media channels.
- Marketo Certifications
- Real-Time Customer Data Platform, including hands-on experience.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to a sophisticated journey orchestration platform and Customer Journey Analytics.
- Experience with a leading CRM platform or another leading CRM platform, and understanding of relational data structures.
- Second language (German, French or Italian) for a key region-facing portfolio.
