Join a global e-commerce leader revolutionizing online retail as a Business Development Representative. You will be instrumental in expanding the company’s marketplace by connecting with potential sellers in the UK, fostering relationships, and guiding them toward becoming successful partners. This is a 6 month contract, 5 days a week in their London office paying between £15.90 hourly PAYE + holiday pay (£33k)
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for potential sellers in the UK, showcasing the immense opportunities available on the platform. Your role is pivotal in driving new business revenue by identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads, ultimately contributing to the company’s continued expansion.
- Proactively engage with potential sellers in the UK market, sparking their interest and understanding of the platform’s benefits.
- Skillfully coordinate follow-up meetings between qualified leads and account managers, ensuring a seamless transition and fostering strong partnerships.
- Maintain transparent and effective communication with leads, providing exceptional support and guidance throughout the onboarding process.
- Equip account managers with valuable information and context about potential sellers, empowering them to close deals and cultivate long-term relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and stay ahead of market trends, contributing to the team’s strategic growth initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, demonstrating your ability to connect with and influence potential clients.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, enabling you to build rapport and effectively convey complex information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, allowing you to manage multiple leads and priorities efficiently.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a drive to exceed targets and contribute to team success.
- A genuine passion for the e-commerce landscape and a desire to help businesses thrive in the online marketplace.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with lead generation and qualification, showcasing your ability to identify and nurture high-potential prospects.
- Knowledge of the UK market and e-commerce trends, providing valuable insights and context to your outreach efforts.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools, enabling you to manage your pipeline and track progress effectively.
